Are you running a sports club? Or do you host weekly or monthly events/competitions?
If you own a large outdoor area, or even rent it how can you be sure you are making the most of that space, making life much easier for you?
If you run a sports club or sporting event, you will be more than aware of how much gear you cram into cars on the day you meet to set up at your venue. You also more than likely have experienced the irritating times you have turned up and realised you have left some of your equipment at home. Buying and renting land currently can get very pricey so you have to make the most of the little space you have for the cost of it, many of us cannot afford to purchase massive areas of land anymore.
So what can you do to maximise the potential of the land you have.
- Ensure that you have good ground maintenance in place. There is nothing that can minimise space more than a patch of your grounds being out of use. Making sure you do not overuse a certain area and you ensure the ground is dry enough to withstand the use. Although calling off events is extremely irritating it is far better to do that when the ground is wet and continue play the following week, than to go ahead with the event, trash the land and it be out of action for a good few weeks.
- Versatility is important. If you host various events in one ground, being able to simply shift a few things and use the ground for something else is very handy. Whether you buy equipment that be used for multiple things, or you find a piece of land that can be adapted you will find you can save a lot of money and time.
- Add in a separate storage area. If you have a small spare area of your land it is very handy to find a small building to store everything in. Used portable building hire allows for people to have buildings of various sizes delivered to them for a certain amount of time, these are also available for purchase. These buildings come to suit your needs and you can find ones that are designed for storage purposes, others are ideal as changing rooms and toilets, some for catering and indoor seating. They are a brilliant addition to any sports club giving members somewhere dry and warm when they attend.
