Blake C. Goldring is presently serving as the Chairman as well as Chief Executive Officer in AGF Management Limited. Being an investment management company it has grown well in his leadership. Today it is operating in Europe, Canada, United States, and in Asia as well. He Leaded AGF in 2006 as Chairman, in 2000 as chief executive officer and in 1997 he was president. Today it is able to manage $35 billion investors’ asset all over the world. Blake Goldring Toronto University holds an honors BA and has done MBA in INSEAD which is in France.
In January 2010 he joined Sunnybrook Health Sciences Boards of director’s team. After that in 2014 March he got appointed as Chair Vice/Chair Elect. Later he appointed as Chair of Board of directors in 2015 June 15. He has become the member of Quality Committee and Governance and Nominating Committee of the Board.
There are many other Boards like Sunnybrook where he is serving for example Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Financial Services Alliance as a leadership council member, the Canadian Film Centre and the C.D. Howe Institute, serving as a member in World Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and Canadian Council of Chief Executives. In Investment Funds Institute of Canada Blake Goldring Toronto is serving as past Director and past Vice Chair. In IFIC Ad Hoc Strategic Research Committee presently he is a member.
He is the Chair and Founder of Canada Company: Many ways to Serve. This is a charity which aims to support men and women who are in Canadian forces and also their families. He is the honorary Colonel for Canadian Army. Along with this in Toronto Society of Financial Analysts, he is a member and fellow and CFA chart holder of Institute if Canadian Bankers.
Along with his family members he has made many contributions to U of T and Victoria. Some of them are they provided essentials for learning for example Norman Jewison Stream in Imagination and the Arts, when it comes to sports and athletics they contributed the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport at Varsity Centre, there are contributions for physical fitness as well, and for students extracurricular they gave a centre called the Goldring Student Centre. This center is built mainly on the aim to give a home away from home for students. It is a place which is comfortable for students to engage in activities, to socialize, to discuss, and to gather. This is aimed in giving a great university experience for students.
Along with this he is a member of Boundless campaign executive. He is one among the alumni leaders of the university who is most respected for their contributions. He has many other commitments to community other than this.
Blake Goldring has awarded with Arbor Award in 2009 for his service to the University. He has got many other awards like Queen’s Jubilee medal in 2012 and B’nai Birth Award of Merit in 2011. Other than this he also received Meritorious Service Medal and in 2008 from Military College of Canada he has honored with Doctor of Laws degree.
