Is the Future of Business Location Independent?

0

Whilst the past year has seen the major shift toward remote working for many, which may become a more permanent change for most, but the other major shift that may happen is within business is within a widespread change to location independent business, as many make a shift to online representation and move away from land-based brick and mortar representation. But where are the biggest opportunities presenting themselves in this change?

Freelancing is on the rise – With hobby sites like Etsy and professional sites like Fiverr, it has provided an opportunity for many to shift away from a typical working schedule and more toward a flexible working schedule through online opportunities – without the need to understand how to build a freelance business from the ground up, these platforms have allowed for many to make the shift toward location independent work and have helped ease the transition for many too.

Land based closures open opportunities online – Another of the big changes for major business has been within the closure of land-based stores over the past year, this has been more apparent in some sectors more than others as some such as betting stores have been closing to seek out opportunities online, and the rise of unique opportunity options from online casinos for example with features like no verification casinos may lead to a change in this space too, with online and virtual options growing in popularity even before the past year and pandemic, it seems like an inevitable transition moving forward.

Remote could be further catalyst to change – Whilst a shift to remote working is only one piece of the puzzle, it may encourage many others to make a change in lifestyle – the change inherently brings more flexibility with it, it may lead to the additional free time put towards chasing other passions or hobbies and round back to other points such as freelancing growth – what may have been a heel before may provide an opportunity for location independent business to grow, and may be just what was needed for a major shift toward location independent business.

There is no guarantee the change is coming, however, and the next few months may see a more major return to the ‘old’ normal, good news of vaccine rollouts and changing restrictions to be more open have meant much of this change over the last year is looking less permanent than it once was and given the opportunity it seems there’s already widespread interest to get back to the way things were – and only time will tell.
